I have to transfer my weekend photos from the laptop to the PC, but here is my photo for today. Soooo not technically perfect, but I love what it captures. Davey is such a big helper, he is always wanting to help me with laundry, or cooking, or sweeping. This is him putting the dirty clothes in the washer. :)

Inspired by ILP.

I'm going to take at least one picture a day and post about it here. My creativity has been suffering lately, and I feel like I'm going towards posed photos a lot more than I used to. I'm hoping this will kickstart a little bit more adventurous side of my photography!

Today - Davey tumbling over the back of the couch. He does this several times a day, it must be great fun. :)

I am in love with this set of photos. As a mother, they just make my heart melt.



I am so thankful I am able to capture Davey in these moments, the sleeps and faces and grins and tears that show who he really is, at this exact moment in time. I know one day I will look back on these and be able to recall the tender love flowing through me in the moment I shot that picture...and knowing that I can do this for other people, other mothers, other families - well, that is what photography is all about to me.

Saturday, everyone met up at my MIL's for Colin's birthday dinner. I decided to take advantage of the whole family being there by taking some family portraits. My, what a long way I've come since the shots I did last year at Davey's birthday party, heh. No dramatic blurs, for one thing!

This was one of my favorite shots of the day. I love the interaction - Ed being a big goof, Stuart telling him to stop, everyone else just laughing at the whole thing. It pretty much sums up everyone's personalities. :)



I also shot quite a lot of frames with Lauren. I can't believe how grown up she looks all of the sudden. She's turning into such a pretty young woman, and has the most beautiful eyes.
